The Dragon Sword films began in the Spring of 2014 as a student project. Inspired by classic Kung Fu films from the 70s and 80s, these action-comedies have become the most popular films that Blue Dragon has produced. Beginning with the short film “The Legend of the Dragon Sword,” the series began to pick up speed when the sequel short, “The Return of the Dragon Sword” was released in Spring 2015 (again as a student project). The first feature-length installment of the series, titled The Curse of the Dragon Sword, was released in May of 2017, in collaboration with Running Wild Films and executive produced by Alex Cox (REPO MAN, SID & NANCY). This film follows newcomers Hu and Lin as they embark on a perilous journey to reforge the dangerous and powerful dragon sword. During their quest, they are met with challenges from some familiar faces and villainous foes. Will they obtain the revenge they seek, or will they become just another victim of the sword’s power?
